Haveston 5/31/2012
These 3 summer squashs were pollinated by same male flower. You can tell the yellow one does not like that male that much.

Compost
Last week, I made a sieve which is 2x2 feet and the metal cloth is 1/2''. I screen the 9 ft sq compost 3 days and finally finish it on Sat. I also set up a new compost on Sat.
The first compost was started on Feb 25th, I turned and watered it 5 times for the first 5 weeks and left it for another 2 month. The 9 cube ft ends up with 4 cube ft screen compost. I put one cube ft on the bed and stored the rest. During screening, there are so many earth worms in it, at least 50 of them. I picked some of them and throw them into the raised bed. Hope they will do some nice work to the plants.
Last Sat (5/18/2012), besides screening the finished compost, making a new compost, I also pull out all the pea plants. They are affected by some powdery mildew and it is not worth to keep them in the raised bed.
We have some tomato and zucchini fruit set-up recently. Hoping to get zucchini in 1 week and tomato in 3 weeks.
